Good to Great (CLASS® ) Module 2: Classroom Organization

DPP logo

Children develop social competence, internalize self-control and exhibit autonomy when teachers consistently explain expectations for behavior and provide a broad range of activities that keep children engaged, challenged and that support their natural curiosity. This workshop explores the wide variety of classroom processes that relate to the organization and management of behavior, and time and engagement in the learning process. Participants also explore classroom strategies to create an environment that maximizes each child's opportunity to learn.

Participants learn to:
•    Identify appropriate behavioral expectations of children,
•    Describe effective responses to diverse approaches to learning,
•    Identify strategies to support learning objectives through more effective organization of classroom time and materials,
•    Develop a plan for applying at least one new teaching strategy in the classroom

This training is generously funded by the Denver Preschool Program!
